The second debate took place in the English Centre on 15th October after school. The motion of the debate was that “genetically modified food is beneficial”. The adjudicator was Mr. Jefferies and our opponent was HKWMA Chu Shek Lun Secondary School. Our three debaters, Dora Chan (3S), Matthew Wong (3S) and Sandy Ng (4S), argued for the affirmative side, and won the competition with their awareness of structure and attempts at rebuttals. Sandy Ng had the highest score and was the best speaker in the debate.
