Curriculum Aims 
- 
to provide students with a body of essential knowledge, concepts and applications of information, communication and computer systems; 
- 
to equip students with problem-solving and communication skills, and encourage them to think critically and creatively; 
- 
to develop students into competent, effective, discriminating, ethical and confident users of ICT, so as to support their lifelong learning; and 
- 
to provide students with opportunities to appreciate the impact of ICT on our knowledge-based society, so as to nurture in them positive values and attitudes towards this area.

Curriculum Framework and Outline 
Compulsory Part
Elective Part (The elective part selected by the school is Module A&C: Software Development)
- 
Study Approaches/Strategies - 
Students should work towards the following learning targets: - 
Acquisition of content knowledge: students should develop knowledge and understanding of the range and organisation of computer systems, understand the inter-relationships between hardware, software and data, and realise the social, ethical and legal issues related to the use of ICT; 
- 
Development of generic Skills, especially stimulating students' creative thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; and 
- 
Development of positive values and attitudes which allow students to appreciate how information literacy and the sharing of knowledge using ICT influence decision-making and shape our society 
 
- 
- 
Encourage students to participate in related external activities and competitions, such as Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (HKOI); 
- 
Arrange students to take mock examinations, such as HKACE ICT Mock Examination, to help students to familiarise with the public examination arrangement.
