HKSSDC Friendly Debate Competition 2

On March 31, three F.2 students who have been shadowing members of our Debating Team did their first zoom debate against HHCKLA Buddhist Leung Chik Wai College. The motion was that “This House supports the rise of megacities”. The adjudicator was Ms. Terri Tse.

The three speakers, Henric Lau (F2), Addison Lau (F2) and Moses Leung (F2), argued for the affirmative side. Despite it being their first debate, they won it because of a stronger case built on more substantial and solid evidence.

This friendly debate has been an extremely precious learning opportunity for these speakers, who hopefully will be joining the Debating Team as formal members next year.
